Alec Marianek is a freelance artist that graduted from Southern Methodist University with a BFA in Dance Performance and a minor in Arts Entreprenuership. He has worked with Robert Battle, Larry Keigwin, Stephanie Martinez, Pascal Rioult (Meadows at the Winspear), Brian Brooks (American Dance Festival), and Joshua L. Peugh (Dark Circles Contemporary Dance. He has also performed with Eryc Taylor Dance and Parisa Khobdeh Dance Company.
In addition to performing, Marianek has been a rehearsal assitant to Parisa Khobdeh in her processes and an emerging choreographer himself. He has presented work at Dallas Indie Dance Fest, Break-in Dance Fest, and NewDANCEFest. With comissions from Houston Contemporary 2 and Grand Prairie Fine Arts Academy.
Marianek continues to explore the possibilities as a mover and a maker.
