Since graduating cum laude from Southern Methodist University with a BFA in Dance Performance and a minor in Arts Entrepreneurship, he has choreographed across the country and worked as a demonstrator and assistant to Parisa Khobdeh. His performance credits include works by Robert Battle, Paul Taylor, Brian Brooks, Martha Graham, Adam Hougland, Tamisha Guy, Stephanie Martinez, and Michelle N. Gibson, among others.

Marianek has attended intensives with the Martha Graham School, American Dance Festival, Houston Contemporary, Dark Circles Contemporary Dance, and B12 in Berlin, Germany.
